1. Academic excellence: Applicants must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, typically evidenced by a high distinction (80% or above) in their most recent studies or equivalent qualifications.
2. Commitment to research: Applicants must be able to devote at least 12 months of full-time study (or equivalent) to the scholarship. Those who have already completed a higher level research degree are not eligible.
3. Registration at RMIT: Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll at an Australian campus of RMIT and meet the university’s English proficiency standards.
4. Compliance with exchange rules: Applicants must not have previously held a Commonwealth or RMIT funded research fellowship, unless it was terminated prematurely. Additionally, they must not receive another scholarship exceeding 75% of the value of this scholarship.
